Inter are in no hurry to rush a contract offer to Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, despite the growing presence of Barcelona, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the Blaugrana are incredibly keen to sign the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, as they believe he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez. The Blaugrana have reportedly prepared a €10 million offer to convince Lautaro, but Inter are not afraid.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to increase Lautaro’s wages from €1.5 million a season to €3 million a season, including bonuses and image rights. Inter will meet with the player’s agent, Beto Yaqué, in July, after the expiry of the €111 million release clause that’s currently present in Lautaro’s existing contract, which expires after the July 15th. The Argentine striker has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances so far this season.
