Mauro Icardi is questioning whether he wants to remain at Paris Saint Germain having lost his place in the team to Edinson Cavani in the weeks before football was stopped due to Coronavirus according to a report from French news outlet L’Equipe.

The 27-year-old joined PSG on a season long loan from Inter this past Summer and they can sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million but Icardi is seemingly unsure about whether he would like to stay with them past the end of this season.

Icardi does not have the best of relationships with manager Thomas Tuchel and it is understood that his wife and agent Wanda Nara would like to return to Italy.

There are contrasting reports doing the rounds in the media at the moment with regard to PSG’s intentions for him with some reports stating they will sign him whilst others state they remain undecided.

The former Barcelona academy player has performed well during his time in the French capital with him having netted 20 goals in 31 appearances but it remains to be seen whether or not PSG will take up the option to sign him.
