Alexis Sanchez’s preference would be to remain with Inter according to a report from British news outlet The Evening Standard.
The Chilean national team attacker joined Inter on a season long loan from Manchester United but a permanent switch to Inter looks unlikely with him having failed to live up to expectations.
The former Barcelona player’s astronomical annual salary makes it particularly difficult for United when it comes to trying to offload him and Sanchez is not helping with the report stating he is reluctant to take a pay cut to secure a move elsewhere.
The report goes on to claim that another loan move, where they pay a large chunk of his wages, could be the best solution if they do not find a buyer or they could attempt to buy him out of his contract.
Whilst on loan at Inter, Sanchez has made 15 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored one goal and provided three assists for his teammates.
