Should Lega Serie A and the Italian players association (AIC) be unable to come to an agreement, clubs will need to find agreements with their players regarding wage cuts according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lega Serie A and the AIC met last week to hold talks but were unable to come to an agreement with their proposals nowhere close to matching.

All Serie A clubs – with the exception of Juventus who reached a separate agreement with their players – came to an agreement over guidelines for wage cut guidelines yesterday with wages to be cut by up to 1/3 if the season does not resume or by up to 1/6 if the season does resume.

Juventus’ agreement with their players means they will not receive salaries for the months of March, April, May and June and it remains to be seen what others clubs would come up with if forced to have to reach their own agreements.
