Ashley Young and Christian Eriksen have both already returned to Milan after Inter recalled them according to a report in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Englishman and Dane were two of seven players who Inter granted permission to return home to their families during the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic with the others being Marcelo Brozovic, Diego Godin, Victor Moses, Romelu Lukaku and club captain Samir Handanovic.
All barring Godin should be back in Milan by Friday as Godin’s journey back to Milan is considerably longer than the rest given he will be travelling back from Uruguay.
There is a lot of talk at the moment that clubs could be allowed to resume training at the beginning of May and by recalling the players now, they will be able to complete their mandatory self isolation period in time for training resuming then, if it does.
