Hellas Verona’s Marco Silvestri has emerged as a goalkeeper who Inter could look to bring in to serve as back-up to Samir Handanovic according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The 29-year-old has had a good season this term with him having kept nine clean sheets in 26 appearances across all competitions for the high flying Gialloblu, who are in the midst of their first season back in the top flight upon their promotion at the end of last season.

Former Leeds United shot-stopper Silvestri’s contract with Hellas Verona is due to expire at the end of next season and it has to be remembered that relations between Inter and Hellas Verona are particularly good too.

The report goes on to conclude that Silvestri feels ready to take the leap to a big club and would have no problems in having to play as back-up to current Inter number one Samir Handanovic.
