Inter and Bayern Munich are likely to reach an agreement in the deal for Croatian forward Ivan Perisic, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are set to earn around €15-20 million for the 31-year-old Croatian, who has impressed on loan with the Bavarian club this season. Inter are happy to sell the player in the summer as it will lower their wage bill by €4.6 million per season, in a contract that won’t expire until 2022.

Inter’s keenness to sell Perisic means that they are moving towards giving Bayern a discount on the previously agreed upon price, the report continues. The 2018 World Cup finalist has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1200 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided eight assists, impressing with his tactical flexibility.
