Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that it cannot be ruled out that Mauro Icardi could move to Juventus.

The 27-year-old striker is currently out on loan at Paris Saint Germain from Inter but there are contrasting reports as to what their intentions are for him with some reports saying they intend to take up their €70 million option to buy and others stating they are presently undecided.

Icardi has long been linked with Inter’s arch rivals and some reports have also suggested that Juventus could try do a deal with PSG if they do sign him up on a permanent basis.

Di Marzio has however revealed that Icardi could still go to Juventus even if PSG do not sign him up.

“We have to understand what PSG will do. They have an option to buy and Mauro has done quite well in Paris,” he said in an interview with Sosfanta.com.

“If Mauro were to return to Inter, it would need to be understood how they could set up negotiations which would certainly not be easy but a move to Juventus certainly cannot be excluded.”

Whilst in the French capital, the former Barcelona academy player has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored 20 goals and tallied four assists.
