The Italian football federation (FIGC) medical commission are due to meet tomorrow to hold talks over the possible resumption of the 2019/20 football season according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Football at all levels and all other sporting activity in Italy has been on hold for around a month due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and it remains to be seen whether the season will be able to resume at all.

The FIGC hope to be able to save the season and resume and a whole array of dates have been suggested in the media in terms of when the season could resume and a number of solutions on how the remaining games of the season can be finished have also been speculated about.

At tomorrow’s meeting, there will be discussions over the sanitisation of club’s training grounds and how having players in close proximity can be dealt with among many other things.
