The protocol for resuming the 2019/20 Serie A season was not finalised yesterday but should be completed today according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

A meeting took place yesterday to determine the protocol to allow the season to resume, if it indeed can resume given the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

The document was not finalised yesterday but will should be today and afterwards it will be forwarded on to Gabriele Gravina, the president of the Italian football federation (FIGC), who will then pass it on to Italian minister for sport and youth policies Vincenzo Spadafora and Italian minister of health Roberto Speranza.

As per the report from the Rome based newspaper, a number of issues need to be ironed out given the set-ups at Serie A and vastly different to those lower down in the Italian football pyramid meaning it is not so easy to just reach a universal decision.
