The stall in contract extension talks between Napoli and Dries Mertens could help out clubs who have shown an interest in signing him according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.com.
The club and Mertens have held talks over extending his deal past the end of this season in recent weeks but the current global Coronavirus crisis has complicated matters.
Inter, AS Monaco and Paris Saint Germain have all recently shown an interest in signing the Belgian national team attacker on a free transfer and the report claims that there has recently been contact between Inter and Mertens over a potential move with Inter manager Antonio Conte wanting to partner Mertens up with Romelu Lukaku.
The report does however go on to add that AS Monaco are ready to present a very big offer to Mertens in a bid to convince him to leave Naples.
This season the 32-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 12 goals and tallied six assists.
