A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport discussed Inter’s midfield and which players they may look to sign in the summer.

The report details how four players are already core parts of the midfield and will remain important for coach Antonio Conte next season. These players are Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi, former Cagliari star Nicolo Barella, 2018 World Cup finalist Marcelo Brozovic and former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen. In addition, one of either Matias Vecino or Roberto Gagliardini will remain a part of Conte’s project as well.

The top player to strengthen the department is Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, the report continues, although the Nerazzurri have identified alternatives as well. One option is Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso, who would cost more than Vidal but is seven years younger. Gaetano Castrovilli and Sandro Tonali are also possibilities, as well as Carles Aleñá, who Barcelona are trying to include in the deal for Lautaro Martinez.
