Mauro Icardi’s future looks set to be with Paris Saint Germain but Inter will still have plenty bargaining power in the event he does not end up there according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The 27-year-old Argentine striker is currently out on loan at the reigning French champions, who can sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million.
Prior to his move to the French capital, Inter extended his contract until the end of the 2021/22 season which means they will still be able to command a good fee for him as he will have two years left on his deal in the Summer if PSG do not sign him permanently.
Numerous reports have stated that Icardi has a clause which allows him to veto a permanent switch to the French capital club but Inter have always denied the existence of this clause.
