Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo would like to keep a hold of on loan striker Mauro Icardi past the end of this season according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The 27-year-old Argentine is currently out on loan at the reigning French champions from Inter and they have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million.

Leonardo will try to convince Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara to remain in the French capital but if unsuccessful in doing so, he will look to do a deal with Inter’s arch rivals Juventus.

AC Milan and Napoli are both also keeping an eye on Icardi’s situation with PSG and the report adds that Icardi’s sale could help Inter in the transfer market as they could put the money raised through his sale toward moves for Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.
