In an interview with Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it, Inter owned goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao has reminisced about his arrival at the club and also looked ahead to what the future could hold for him with the club.
“My agent told me about Inter’s interest and obviously I was very interested, I have never hid that I have always supported Inter, I watched the club when I was small, I followed Julio Cesar,” he began the interview.
He then went on to speak about the recent praise he has received from Cesar and named him as one of his two idols growing up.
“He spoke very well about Inter to me and his words meant a great deal due to what he did at Inter. He and Fabio were my idols.”
The young Brazilian shot-stopper was then asked if he thinks he can succeed current Inter number one Samir Handanovic and if he is inspired by the veteran Slovenian goalkeeper.
“Handanovic is a great goalkeeper, he has great qualities and he is very confident and consistent. I hope to be able to reach his performance levels one day.”
He was also asked if Inter have been in contact with him as of late amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.
“They told me to follow the standard procedures. They told me to take care of myself, stay at home and try to keep fit.”
In conclusion he suggested the names of two young Brazilian players as players who he thinks the club should sign.
“Cruzeiro’s Caio Rosa and Santos’ Kaio Jorge.”
The 19-year-old is currently out on loan at Spanish second division side Albacete, who he has made four appearances for over the course of this season.
