Inter have set aside a sum of €40 million to put toward a move for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa according to a report from Italian broadcaster SportMediaset.
The Nerazzurri are long term admirers of the 22-year-old Italian national team winger and are well aware that given Juventus are also interested they will have to offer more than €40 million to La Viola for him.
The report goes on to claim that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is prepared to include midfielder Radja Nainggolan as part of a deal for him.
Fiorentina like Nainggolan, who is currently out on loan at Cagliari, and he could well be the right player to get a deal for Chiesa over the line.
Chiesa, who has spent his entire career with Fiorentina and is under contract with them until 2022, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In just over 2100 minutes, he has scored seven goals and has tallied five assists.
