Mauro Icardi has decided that he does not wish to remain with Paris Saint Germain past the end of this season according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
The 27-year-old striker is currently out on loan at the reigning French champions from Inter and although PSG have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for €70 million, he has no interest in this happening as he wishes to return to Italy.
Juventus are very keen on signing him and have identified him as the ideal player to add to their ranks to bolster their attacking department.
The report does however warn that it will be impossible for Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici to do a deal with Inter over him given the two clubs are arch rivals and relations between him and former Juventus director and current Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta are far from great either.
However, the inclusion of a player(s), namely Juan Cuadrado, could make a deal possible between the clubs.
