Inter wish to tie star midfielder Marcelo Brozovic down to a new and improved contract as soon as possible amid reported interest from elsewhere according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

In the past few days the Croatian national team midfielder has drawn links to Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich.

He is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season and the Nerazzurri wish to sign him to at least a one year extension until the Summer of 2023.

Brozovic currently has a €60 million release clause as part of his current contract, a clause which can only be activated during the first fortnight of every July but Inter wish to get rid of this as part of a new contract.

He currently earns €3.5 million a season and the report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to state that he will receive a salary increase to €4.5 million.
