Barcelona defender Junior Firpo has reiterated that he is currently happy at Barcelona amid reports he could be moved on in the coming months.
The Dominican Republic born Spanish youth national team player has been linked with a possible Summer transfer window switch to Inter as part of a deal for Lautaro Martinez, with Barcelona looking to do a player(s) plus cash deal for the 22-year-old Argentine national team forward rather than pay his €111 million release clause.
“I am not completely satisfied with my performances, even though I actually played more than I expected. I am very happy here and will try to always give my best, I certainly do not lack desire and motivation,” he explained in an Instagram Live chat earlier on today.
The 23-year-old full back joined the Blaugrana this past Summer from fellow La Liga outfit Real Betis on a five year deal and has played semi-regularly in his first campaign at the Camp Nou club.
He has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1200 minutes on the field, Firpo has scored one goal and has also provided a single assists for his teammates.
