Barcelona have been forced to think of a plan B to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez as Inter continue to remain reluctant to accept anything less than his release clause according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona have been looking into doing a player(s) plus cash deal for the highly rated 22-year-old Argentine international and it has been reported that they are willing to even offer above his release clause when the values of players they are willing to offer is incorporated on top of the cash element of any deal.

Inter are however refusing to accept anything less than his €111 million release clause, a clause which can only be triggered by clubs outside of Italy during the first fortnight of every July.

As a result, the Spanish news outlet claim that Barcelona have identified RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner – who has a €60 million release clause – as a player they could potentially move for in the event they cannot do a deal for Lautaro.
