Inter have already decided who would replace Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez should he be sold to Barcelona in the summer, with the name being a surprise to many, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are incredibly interested in signing Gent forward Jonathan David. The 20-year-old Canadian, who is contracted to the Belgian club until 2023, has impressed many this season with his incredibly strong performances for the club. Inter have already contracted Gent to express their interest in David, working hard to ensure that they are left without a replacement for Lautaro.

The Belgian club initially wanted around €25 million for David, the report continues, but the player’s value has been lowered due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. His current value is around €15 million.

The player has made 40 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3260 minutes. In that time, he has scored 23 goals and provided ten assists.
