Inter are considering making a move to sign Paris Saint Germain forward Edinson Cavani as a free agent in the summer if Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez is sold to Barcelona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the French newspaper L’Equipe.

The report details how the 33-year-old Uruguayan forward’s contract is expiring with PSG at the end of the season. The player wants to stay in Paris despite the variety of offers he’s received, but is hoping that PSG will approach him to discuss a contract renewal. His future may depend on what PSG decide to do about Argentine forward Mauro Icardi, who is currently on loan at the club from Inter.

The Nerazzurri would be happy to sign Cavani in the summer, the report continues, but only if Lautaro is sold to the Blaugrana. Cavani has made 22 appearances so far this season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in that time.
