Inter owned forward Ivan Perisic attended a personalized training session yesterday, after recovering from an ankle injury, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the German newspaper Bild.
The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian forward, who is currently on loan with Bavarian side Bayern Munich, suffered a fractured ankle after a strong challenge against Alvaro Odriozola. The player initially returned a few days ago to the pitch to start training again, running and working with the ball.
Yesterday Perisic did a 450 minute high-intensity session on his own, the report continues, starting with warm-up laps around the pitch, before working on his headers with a resistance belt, short sprints, running up steps and shooting.
He was assisted by Bayern Munich coach Holger Broich. Perisic is hoping to be fully fit in time for the restart of the Bundesliga, able to be deployed by coach Hansi Flick for the remaining games of the season.
