Edinson Cavani has no intention of accepting a lesser salary from another club as he nears an exit from Paris Saint Germain according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.com.

The Uruguayan national team striker’s contract with the French capital city team is due to expire at the end of this season and he looks set to depart at the end of it which will see him become a free agent.

Reports in the past few days have suggested that his representatives and even he himself have been busy contacting prospective new employers, with Inter understood to be among them.

He currently earns €1.5 million a month and the report claims that he does not want to reduce his salary.

This season the 33-year-old former Napoli man has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1100 minutes on the field, ‘El Matador’ has scored seven goals and has provided three assists for his teammates.
