Former Bayern Munich and Croatian national team striker Ivica Olic has claimed that compatriot Ivan Perisic wants to stay with Bayern Munich past the end of this season.
Perisic joined the German Bundesliga club this past Summer on a season long loan from Inter and as part of the deal Bayern Munich secured an option to buy him on a permanent basis for €20 million.
Recent reports in the media have suggested that Bayern Munich are keen to keep a hold of 31-year-old Perisic but would like to negotiate a new deal with Inter, something other reports have suggested Inter are open to.
“Ivan is doing fine. He is working more every day and he wants to return to the field before the end of the season to test himself with Hansi Flick. Ivan is very happy with Bayern Munich. He hopes to be able to stay in Munich next season,” Olic remarked in an interview with German news outlet tz.de.
Whilst at the Bavaria based club, the former Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg winger has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date.
In exactly 1200 minutes on the field, the Croatian national team winger has scored five goals and he has provided eight assists for his teammates.
