Agustin Urzi’s agent Maximiliano Gallo has confirmed that whilst some clubs have made enquiries for his client no clubs have went so far as to make an offer for him.
In the past few weeks Urzi himself has claimed that Inter, Fiorentina, Roma, Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Boca Juniors, River Plate and Racing Club have all made enquiries and one report has suggested that Sampdoria are also keen on adding him to their ranks.
“There have been enquiries from various teams, but at the moment there is still no offers. I have been contacted by several people who claim to be close to the sporting directors of Roma and Fiorentina, Gallo explained in an interview with Italian news outlet Europacalcio.it.
He was then asked if he is in contact with Inter vice president Javier Zanetti over the youngster.
“I know Zanetti likes him and his attitude on the pitch. I’m not personally in contact with him but Banfield president Lucia Barbuto is.”
In conclusion he was asked if he thinks Banfield would accept an offer below his $30 million release clause.
“We would need to see what team it was. We want the offer to be just as good for Agustin’s career as it would be economically for him.
“We have an excellent relationshop with Banfield and they have always done very well with him and his family. We will make a decision together.
“His dream is to become champion with Banfield and then be able to grow and go to Europe in a good club that can help him develop his qualities.”
This season the 19-year-old, who holds dual Argentine and Italian citizenship, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1500 minutes on the park, he has provided a single assist for his teammates.
