Inter are awaiting an answer to their contract proposal from Napoli forward Dries Mertens according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Inter have offered him a two year deal with an annual salary of €6 million plus bonuses and it is said that Mertens is intrigued by the offer.

Mertens also has a contract extension offer from Napoli which is a two year deal with a €4 million annual salary plus €2 million in bonuses.

Moreover, the report claims that AS Monaco have also made him an offer that comes with an annual salary of €7 million but the 32-year-old is not interested in moving to the Ligue 1 outfit nor Newcastle United, who are also reported to be interested in him.

The report goes on to add that a move to Chelsea is also unlikely. The London club deem Tammy Abraham’s contract renewal to be a priority and have also just renewed the contract of Olivier Giroud.
