Inter have told the representatives of Ashley Young that they intend to exercise the option to extend his contract with the club by a further season according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Young joined Inter on an initial six month contract in the most recent January transfer window and has made a real impression on Inter management.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is also satisfied with what the Englishman has offered since his arrival from Premier League side Manchester United and the club were in touch with his representatives via telephone in the past few days to state that they wish to keep him around next season too.

As per the report, the 34-year-old, formerly of Watford and Aston Villa, will receive a salary of €3 million next season.

Since his arrival at the club, Young has made seven appearances across all competitions to date. In 549 minutes, he has scored one goal and has tallied a single assist.
