Inter will face many problems if Paris Saint Germain do not take up their option to sign on loan striker Mauro Icardi according to a report from sports broadcaster ESPN.

The 27-year-old Argentine joined the newly crowned French champions on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal they got an option to buy him for €80 million.

It is currently unclear what their intentions are with regard to Icardi and this report warns that if they do not sign him up on a permanent basis, Inter would suffer a heavy loss in revenue and they would have to change their plans for the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Moreover, the report claims that Inter could have to sell one of Lautaro Martinez or Milan Skriniar if Icardi returns, even though Inter manager Antonio Conte wishes to keep both players.
