Lega Serie A have reiterated that the 20 clubs are unanimously in favour of finishing the remainder of the 2019/20 season if possible according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

The 2019/20 season has been on hold for close to two months now due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and it remains to be seen when it might be able to return.

Reports in recent weeks suggested that both Torino and Brescia were against the idea of the 2019/20 campaign beginning but Lega Serie A sources have told ANSA that there is a unanimous desire amongst clubs to finish the campaign.

Some clubs such as Inter and Atalanta have as many as 13 games left to play of this season, the remainder of which, according to Italian sports minister Vincenzo Spadafora, will be cancelled by the Italian government if an agreement cannot be reached on the health protocol to safely resume playing.
