Inter target Timo Werner discussed the possibility of joining Bayern Munich and his dreams of playing abroad in an interview in today’s paper edition of the German newspaper Sport Bild.

“I’d rather go abroad than move to Bavaria. I would like to take on a new challenge in another league more than a change within the Bundesliga. And, of course, it will also be important that there is maximum appreciation for me. That’s why I decided to go to RB Leipzig at the time and that’s why for my next step I’ll choose that square where I’ll feel the same way.”

Inter are one of the many top clubs around Europe interested in the 24-year-old German striker, alongside sides like Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Werner has made 36 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2832 minutes. In that time, he has scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists, becoming one of the top strikers in the Bundesliga.

The Nerazzurri are considering many replacements for Argentine star Lautaro Martinez, who has long been wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona, who believe he would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez.

Due to the seriousness of the Blaugrana’s interest, Inter know they need to line up the perfect replacement, in order to fight for next season’s league title.
