Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter’s position in the upcoming summer transfer window in an interview with Italian media outlet Le Bombe di Vlad yesterday.

First, he spoke about the future of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez and if he’ll join Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer.

“I don’t think Barcelona is in a position to go crazy. It is also in Inter’s interest to keep him as long as possible in order to make him grow economically.”

Biasin then discussed Inter and Juventus target Federico Chiesa, who seems destined to leave Fiorentina in the next few months.

“He was the right player for Sarri last year, but now they have changed the system a bit in Turin. Although difficult to place him in Conte’s line-up, I say it’s more likely he’ll join Inter than Juve, just because Marotta has liked him for some time.”

The journalist touched on the current position of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, who is currently on loan with French side Paris Saint Germain.

“I think he’ll stay at PSG, even though he’s the profile the Bianconeri consider ideal. Just like Perisic and Nainggolan, who wants to stay in Cagliari, he won’t come back.”

He discussed Inter linked forward Edison Cavani, whose contract is expiring with PSG at the end of the season.

“His agent is doing a bit of a tour of the top clubs, but he’s a player of a certain age and with a certain salary.”

Finally, Biasin spoke about Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has struggled to shine since his arrival in Milan in January.

“We’re talking about a great footballer. His problem was joining in the middle of the season, but I think he will be a starting player in the future.”

Inter are hoping to keen Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez, who has long been the target of Barcelona. The Nerazzurri want €90 million in cash plus one or two players in exchange for the 22-year-old, a high request, which they hope will scare off the Catalan club.
