Inter and Barcelona have discussed French forward Antoine Griezmann over the last few weeks but it’s unlikely that the former Atletico Madrid man will join the Nerazzurri, according to a report from Italian media outlet earlier today.

The report details how the Blaugrana are willing to do whatever possible to sign Inter forward Lautaro Martinez, and have offered multiple players to the Nerazzurri in exchange for the Argentine forward. The Griezmann idea was discussed, but there are several obstacles that make a deal seem impossible.

The first is that the 29-year-old Frenchman told Barcelona in February that he wants to stay with the club. Another issue are his high wages, impossible to pay unless Griezmann takes a significant salary cut.

Inter coach Antonio Conte has been constantly updated by those involved in the negotiations and will have the final say before any decision is made, both the sale of Lautaro and which players would be included.
