Inter striker Lautaro Martinez hasn’t declined a contract offer from the Nerazzurri, despite what has been reported in Spain, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker is at the center of a negotiation battle between Barcelona and Inter, with the Blaugrana trying their hardest to bring the player to Spain. The Catalan club have offered Lautaro a five-year contract worth €10 million net per season, figures that Inter cannot and will not match.

Inter also won’t offer a discount on their €90 million cash request, the report continues, and want one or two players in exchange to make the deal up to Lautaro’s €111 million release clause. The 22-year-old Argentine striker has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists, forming a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku.
