Inter are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to sign a star midfielder in the summer, and the 2018 World Cup winner would be the perfect fit for coach Antonio Conte. The Nerazzurri also know that rivals Juventus are keen to bring Pogba back to Italy, and so signing the Frenchman would both strengthen them and weaken their opponents.

Pogba’s contract expires at the end of next season, the report continues, and it seems likely that he will be leaving Manchester in the summer. Inter president Steven Zhang would like to sign Pogba because he’s looking to impress the Nerazzurri fans and show the world that Inter are an exciting and competitive team. The player would cost around €100 million, and the Nerazzurri may look to use the money earnt from selling players currently out on loan to fund the deal.
