Inter are increasingly favoring the idea of signing German forward Timo Werner should they sell Lautaro Martinez in the summer, according to a report from today’s print edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s management have been looking at many players, looking for the perfect replacement for the 22-year-old Lautaro.

Spanish giants Barcelona are incredibly keen to sign the Argentine forward and are hard at work to find a viable deal, with the Nerazzurri asking for €90 million in cash and one or two players in exchange.

The Nerazzurri are fans of RB Leipzig’s Werner, the report continues, and would be happy to sign him if Lautaro is sold. The 24-year-old German striker has made 36 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2832 minutes. In that time, he has scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists, being one of the most dangerous strikers in the Bundesliga.
