Fiorentina have tabled a contract extension offer to star player Federico Chiesa according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica.

La Viola president and owner Rocco Commisso is extremely keen to keep the highly rated winger at the club amid interest from elsewhere and has extended a contract extension offer that comes with an annual salary of €4.5 million, a salary which would make Chiesa one of the highest paid players at the club if he accepts.

The 22-year-old Italian national team player, who is currently under contract until the end of the 2021/22 season, has been strongly linked with moves to both Inter and Juventus for some time.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to add that the Florence based club have no intention of letting midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli depart the club in the coming months.

Castrovilli has also been linked to both Inter and Juventus alongside a number of other clubs but Fiorentina will not let him depart.
