Inter have sparked an interest in signing Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet fichajes.net.
The central defender only joined Atleti this past Summer from fellow La Liga side Espanyol for €15 million but it is understood that he is no longer seen as being in manager Diego Simeone’s plans and as a result the Rojiblancos will look to move him on in the coming months.
Inter are interested in adding the 24-year-old to their ranks as they seek to reinforce their back-line which already includes the likes of Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni.
The former Real Madrid academy player has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In just shy of 1500 minutes on the park, he has not made any goal contributions but he has helped Atleti keep nine clean sheets in the process.
