Italian Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora discussed the resumption of training and how squad training won’t be allowed before the 18th May in a post on his Facebook page earlier today.

The Italian government has given teams the approval to return to their training centers from today and onward, although no squad training will be allowed before the 18th May, as the government doesn’t want to rush the return to normality in order to ensure the safety and health of all those working.

Spadafora wrote on Facebook: “I’ve read strange things but nothing has changed compared to what I have always said about football, training in groups will not resume before May 18 and now is not the time to start talking  about restarting the league.

“Now I’m sorry but I’m going back to all the other sports and the sports centers (gyms, dance centres, swimming pools, etc.) which must reopen as soon as possible.”
