Inter captain Samir Handanovic promoted an Italian charity focused on helping deaf and blind people in a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 35-year-old Slovenian shot stopper, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2021, has been a core part of coach Antonio Conte’s squad so far this season, only missing six games due to a hairline fracture in his left little finger. He will be the main goalkeeper for Inter next season as well.

Handanovic posted a video alongside the caption: “Today we are forced to avoid contact. Those who cannot see or hear cannot communicate and are experiencing a situation of isolation in isolation. Together we can make a small gesture and reach out to deaf and blind people. Let us help them to go beyond darkness and silence and build, from a distance.”
