Ivan Perisic’s loan deal with Bayern Munich could be extended for another season according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Croatian national team winger joined the Bundesliga outfit this past Summer on a season long loan that came with a €20 million option to buy attached and by the end of May the clubs will have to decide what is happening with him.

The Coronavirus crisis has changed everything and has led to Inter management even considering the possibility of a new loan deal for the 31-year-old, who, alongside Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan, was judged to be out of the Inter project.

Inter have no intention of taking on Perisic’s €4.6 million annual salary and if unable to get a permanent move sorted for him, they could just loan him out again.

Moreover, the report adds that if Inter are to loan him out again, they could extend Perisic’s contract by a further season, just like they did with Mauro Icardi prior to his loan to Paris Saint Germain.
