Inter are one of three clubs courting River Plate attacking midfielder Nicolas De La Cruz ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to Argentine media reports.

The Nerazzurri are in competition with fellow Serie A club Roma and Premier League outfit Everton for the 22-year-old Uruguayan who has a €20 million release clause in his current contract with the Argentine giants.

This season De La Cruz has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided a total of six assists for his teammates.

De La Cruz, who joined River Plate from Uruguayan club Liverpool in 2017, is one of several River Plate players who Inter have been linked with.

Reports in Italian and Argentine media in recent weeks and months have linked the Nerazzurri with his teammates central defender Lucas Martinez Quarta and more recently full back Gonzalo Montiel, who has also been linked to Roma.
