Fiorentina general manager Joe Barone has confirmed that Federico Chiesa has interest from clubs within Italy and abroad.

Reports in the media have suggested that the highly rated 22-year-old Italian national team winger is a target for Inter and Juventus in particular in Italy whilst Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with him also.

Chiesa is under contract with La Viola, where he has spent his entire career, until the end of the 2021/22 season and other reports have suggested that Fiorentina want to sign him to a contract extension in a bid to deter interest from elsewhere.

“I have a beautiful relationship with Federico, we often talk. He is a Fiorentina player and with Iachini he came back and overcame some physical problems. We will see at the end of the season what his future will be. He is liked very much in Italy but also abroad,” Barone explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Bruno Toscana earlier on today.

This season Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the field, Chiesa has scored seven goals and has provided a total of five assists for his teammates at the Florence based club.
