Dries Mertens is yet to decide whether to stay with Napoli or move on to a new club according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian national team attacker’s deal with the Stadio San Paolo club is due to expire at the end of this season and whilst club president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has tabled him a ‘super’ two year contract extension offer, Mertens also has a whole host of other clubs keen on signing him.

Chelsea and Inter continue to court the former PSV Eindhoven player, who has also drawn links to AC Milan, Roma, AS Monaco and Newcastle United in recent weeks and months.

This season the newly turned 33-year-old, who is Napoli’s all time joint top goalscorer, has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date.

In just shy of 1800 minutes on the park, he has scored 12 goals and has provided six assists for his teammates.
