Paris Saint Germain have made the permanent signing of Mauro Icardi a priority for themselves according to a report from the online edition of French news outlet Le Parisien.

Icardi joined the recently crowned French champions on a season long loan this past Summer from Inter and as part of the deal between the clubs, Paris Saint Germain obtained an option to sign Icardi up on a permanent basis for €70 million.

It has also emerged that if the Ligue 1 side are to sign Icardi outright and subsequently moved him on to another Italian club they will have to pay Inter a further €15 million.

The 27-year-old striker, who was formerly the captain of Inter, performed well in his season on loan at the French capital city club with him scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.

In his near 2000 minutes on the field, he has also provided a handful of assists for his teammates.
