Paris Saint Germain would like to sign defender Thomas Meunier to a contract extension according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.com.

The Belgian national team defender’s current deal with the club is due to expire at the end of the season and he looked set to depart but Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo would like to keep a hold of him with his decision coming largely as a result to the ongoing global Coronavirus crisis.

Inter have been chasing Meunier for some time whilst Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund have both also been linked with making a move for him ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old right back, who has played his football for the French capital city club since the Summer of 2016, has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

In just over 2100 minutes on the field, he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.
