Inter transfer target Timo Werner has set his sights on a move to Liverpool according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The RB Leipzig forward, who has been one of the most prolific on the planet in recent seasons, has chosen Liverpool due to manager Jurgen Klopp.

With Inter set to miss out on Werner, the Nerazzurri have Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in mind as someone they could go in for instead.

Inter could perhaps acquire the Gabonese international in a swap deal that would see Mauro Icardi go in the opposite direction, if Paris Saint Germain do not take up their option to sign the former Inter captain on a permanent basis.

The report goes on to add that Dries Mertens is yet to decide where his future lies but it appears set to be away from Naples. Inter and Roma have shown an interest in him domestically whilst Chelsea, Newcastle United and AS Monaco have showed an interest from abroad.
