Inter and Juventus transfer target Gaetano Castrovilli wishes to remain with Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Both clubs have been heavily linked with making moves for him ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window but they have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of him as he does not wish to leave La Viola.

Castrovilli wishes to remain with the Florence based club where he knows he will play regularly and stands the best chance of showcasing what he can do to Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini ahead of next Summer’s European championship’s.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been one of the biggest revelations during this season but Fiorentina are adamant that they will not let him go and the player also recently affirmed his commitment to the club by signing a long term contract extension with them.

This season he has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided two assists.
