Barcelona must sell players in order to fund a move for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Barcelona have been massively impact financially by the Coronavirus crisis with their financial forecasts predicting a turnover of €800 million in the next 12 months but had it not been for the crisis they would have undoubtedly been well over the €1 billion mark.

The Blaugrana must therefore make up the shortfall by making sales in order to sign other players with the report stating that Philippe Coutinho, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele, could all be moved on in the coming months.

Only by making several sales can the Blaugrana club afford a move for Lautaro, who has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter, which runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
