Intermediaries are working constantly to get a deal done which will see Inter striker Lautaro Martinez head to Barcelona according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

Inter remain in a strong position given his release clause in his contract and also because both the player and his representatives are happy at Inter even if they have been flattered by the interest shown by the Blaugrana club in recent months.

The report goes on to explain that Lautaro would not be pulling his hair out if he had to stay put at Inter given his friendship with striker Romelu Lukaku and due to the presence of Antonio Conte.

In the coming weeks it will become clearer how willing Barcelona will be when it comes to satisfying Inter’s demands for the highly rated 22-year-old striker, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.
